2025 Health, Education, and Careers Fair (Saturday, August 2nd)

Some images from today’s Back to School Health, Education and Careers Fair held in partnership with three Miami Gardens churches. More than 1,000 backpacks stuffed with school supplies were given out. Vendors included CareerSource, Rhonda Eyes Alliance, Miami Dade College, GlobalTell College of Florida, and CAN Community Care.

Frozen moments from the second edition of our annual Black History Brunch and Capacity-Building Workshop for Nonprofit Community Organizations held on Saturday, February 1, 2025. The venue was fully packed. Ms. Marina Pavlov, President/CEO of Florida Association of Nonprofits, Ms. Karol Andrea Mason, President/Grant Writer, of A Word to the Wise LLC, Ms. Linda Schotthoefer, Miami Dade County Budget Office’s Program Coordinator, and Mr. Desmond Alufohai, the Founding Chairman, Florida International Affairs Foundation, who facilitated the workshop covered multiple topics including Grant Application Basics and Best Practices, Building Collaborative Partnerships, Budgeting and Financing, and Post-Award Management and Reporting.

3. Donation of teaching and learning aids such as desks, chairs, tables, and writing materials

4. ⁠Donation of food, drugs, sanitary towels to internally displaced persons and deprived people in Africa and the Caribbean.

5. ⁠With your help, we can award more supplementary scholarships ($500-$2,000) to economically challenged students here in South Florida while collaborating with sister agencies in positively impacting on health outcomes.

HELP is partnering with Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Worldwide on this event that will empower about 600 young people in Nigeria with marketable information technology skills and competencies.
